Eagles Hotel California GrooveBowl, The

$30.00
Sold Out
Hotel California, released in late 1976, was The Eagles' fifth album of original material and became a critical success and a major commercial hit. Since its release it has sold over 16 million copies in the US alone. The album was at no. 1 for eight weeks in early 1977 (non-consecutively), and included two tracks which became no. 1 hits as singles on the Billboard Hot 100: "New Kid in Town", on February 26, 1977, and "Hotel California" on May 7, 1977.

The album was ranked 13th in a 2005 survey held by British television's Channel 4 to determine the 100 greatest albums of all time, and in 2003 the album was ranked no. 37 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Hotel California touched on many themes, including insanity, materialism, innocence (and the loss thereof), death, drug addiction, temptation and the transient nature of fame, to name just a few. Members of Eagles have described the album as a metaphor for the perceived decline of America into materialism and decadence.

You'll not find a speck of that in your GrooveBowl. It's a clean and sober 4 inches high, all curves, has 3 clear non-slip rubber feet and the spindle hole has been capped and the labels lacquered.

Comes with the original album cover in a corrugated paperboard box, so it's ready to be shipped as a gift. We'll even add a note conveying your best wishes.

Keep your GrooveBowl away from liquids and messy foods. It's not microwave or dishwasher safe, so please treat it with the same respect the old folks gave their records.

Use your GrooveBowl wisely. Be kind and thoughtful. Please.
